No kidding Nitey. I thought Mets would offer $1.5MM, Vientos would ask for $2MM, and they'd meet in the middle.

If so many teams passed on him that he slid to 59, that's not a great position of leverage to be holding out for $2M, when $1.5M is already $400K over that slot. Mets had to express to him that they were willing to let him go and weren't going over $1.5M. Nicely done.
