I came across the Seattle Pilots checking Mike Marshall's stats. Anyone who's read the book "Ball Four" probably knows all about them. They were only in Seattle 1 year before becoming the Milwaukee Brewers. They played in a stadium that made the polo-grounds look like a palace (yes, I know, there's been 3 or 4 polo-grounds - but you know what I mean).
What I hadn't realized, the sale was challenged and they were officially sold to the Selig and moved to Milwaukee on April 1. Not enough time to even print new uniforms. They had to play in Seattle uniforms with "Brewers" stitched over "Pilots". LOL. That was cutting it pretty close. The players in the minor leagues didn't know if they were going to make the trip to Milwaukee or Seattle till 6 days before opening day.
