14th best prospect in GA per BA

"This year's top junior-college talents in the state are all pitchers, including Darton JC righthander Tony Whitenton, who ran his fastball up to 94 mph at times this spring, sitting in the 88-91 mph range. He also flashed a solid to plus slider that had power and some depth."

Whitenton was signed away from Kennesaw State.

Some think he was the best JC player in the state of Georgia.

Interesting. Well, there you have it, that's one guy I didn't expect to sign.

On a side not, Kennesaw State got crushed in its recruiting class as Whitenton, Nash and Wheeler all signed (or likely to). Jeez.
