JH: Have you decided what you're going to do in the future, after Yavapai?
BR: I'm going to the University of Southern California.
JH: You got drafted (in the 43rd round by the New York Mets earlier this month). Did you expect that?
BR: Not really. I talked to a scout before, and he said that, "We might take you in a higher round." In terms of what scouts tell you, it's always a little exaggerated. So I figured, you know, probably not. But I guess I did, and I'm happy. It's pretty sweet.
JH: Did you ever consider signing?
BR: No. He told me straight up that I wasn't going to get an offer unless I had a phenomenal summer. And I think phenomenal, hitting .400, stealing bases, being an everyday contributor.
