JD Davis has a 132 wRC+ against RHP. Todd Frazier has a 79 wRC+ against RHP. Guess which one is in the lineup tonight.

Of all of Calloway's bunglings as manager, his handling of Frazier vis a vis Davis is the most egregious. It's not an in-game strategic blunder, it's a thought out calculation to appease a veteran over the clearly better option. It's cowardly and political and inexcusable.

If the lineup is even MC’s call at all, it probably has more to do with liking to have a bat on the bench that he can turn to mid-game. I would suggest that it could have been Cano this time considering that he’s just returning from a lengthy injury and this would have been 2 straight days for him with yesterday’s off day. But since tmrw is Smyly, I guess that’s when Cano sits.
And Fraz will be in the lineup again tmrw (with the lefty going) and probably out Sunday. So I’m guessing Cano sits tmrw and Fraz sits Sunday and JDD plays both games.
