Couldn’t expect to play perfect baseball forever but they got themselves in it. Took a punch to the jaw that dropped them to a knee, 2 choices for them get back up and take it to the Braves today and then the Royals or roll over and give up. Too many games against the phils and Nats to say they’re out of it. LFGM...get up off your knee.

I find this talk about Kelenic comical. He's a 19 year old kid who hit .253 at Kingsport and struck out once a game and people are talking like he's the second coming. Get real people. When you have a chance to get the best reliever in the game who's only 24 and give up Kelenic in the deal, you MAKE that deal. Stop with the nonsense.
Season comes down to the next 12 games 3 Cubs, 3 Nats, 6 Phils. Can make up ground on the wildcard leaders and knockout the Phillies or be out of it. Survive the 12 there are more games to play fall apart and the ground to make up will be too far. Going to be a fun week

It really is a fun week...not much was expected a month ago or so, so I am enjoying the ride one way or the other...lots of great stories, rise or fall!

Brandon Nimmo is close to rejoining the Mets. He is expected back by the end of the week. ... Needs to play consecutive full games in the OF for Syracuse. That could happen Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Mets stat a 3-game series with the Cubs tonight. Stroman vs Darvish, Thor vs Hendricks, and deGrom vs Lester.
This is a huge series. The Mets are 2 games back of the Cubs. A sweep would be huge, but even winning 2-of-3 would be significant. I think the Mets have the pitching advantage in all three games, but the Cubs are a good team.
