The Mets signed four international guys on January 30.

Melvin Arteaga, RHP, 6'1 200 12/7/00 Venezuela
Dyron Campos, OF, 5'10 155 12/26/00 Venezuela
Daniel Juarez, LHP, 5'11 155 9/28/00 DR
Jesus Rivas, RHP, 6'1 175 11/10/00 Venezuela

Still amazes me to see these guys get signed who weren't even born when I was a High School freshman :X

I'm sure there are tons of Alexander Ramirez's, but any relation to the former Indians prospect of the same name?

I found an article saying the Angels had signed him, then I checked the date and saw that it was last year's Alex Ramirez.

I would hope after the prospect clearing, they invest a bit in the IFA market, and they usually do.

Where it will get interesting is in how they evaluate IFAs and amateurs going forward.

It does not appear they are investing heavily in IFA's this year.
